SPEAKING Module

 Inside the speaking section, the examinator will evaluate you according to the following criteria: To see more information about the Speaking band scores, follow this link:  IELTS:Score Bands Around 11-14 minutes. It can be taken the same day or in a different date than the other parts. This part of the test is divided into 3 parts. In the Speaking Part 1: The examiner asks questyions about yourself. The questions may be about your life, studies or work, future plans, interests, or your family. This part is designed to test your skills to interact with the examiner and use general social language It lats between 4 and 5 minutes. In the Speaking Part 2: You are given a task card with prompts and are asked to talk on a particualr topic. You have 1 minute to prepare and you can make notes if you wish. Then you have to speak for between 1 and 2 minutes. After, the examiner asks one or two questions on the same topic. In the Speaking part 3: You and the examiner participate in a discussion

Academic LISTENING Module

Description This part of the test lasts about 30 minutes. Plus 10 minutes to tranfer your answers to the answer sheet. [In the computer version, you choose the answers while you are listening to the audio]         IMPORTANT: Any poor spelling or grammar mistake will be penalised. Then                                              your answer will not be marked. There are 40 questions   You listen to four recordings of native English speakers and then write down your answers to a series of questions.   The writing section with its two tasks must be done in 60 minutes . Task 1: You will be given a graph, table, chart, or diagram and will be asked to describe, summarize, or explain the material in your own words. You may be requested to describe and explain data, process phases, how something works, or an object or event. Task 2 entails writing an essay in response to a point of view, argument, or problem. Responses to both assignments must be written in a formal manner.

Paper format: 40 questions in 60 minutes   It is divided in 3 sections (readings) that go from the easiest one to a more difficult level of comprehension. Sources: Texts are derived from non-specialist publications, journals, magazines, and newspapers. All of the topics are of interest to the general public . They cover topics that are interesting, relevant, and accessible to exam takers who are enrolling in undergraduate or postgraduate programs or seeking professional certification . The paragraphs can be written in a number of different forms, such as narrative, descriptive, or discursive/argumentative. Non-verbal items such as diagrams, graphs, and drawings may be included in texts. A short glossary is supplied if the contents contain technical terms. What is the IELTS? The IELTS stands for International English Language Testing System which is a standardized test of English language proficiency.
