Academic WRITING Module

 


The writing section with its two tasks must be done in 60 minutes.

Task 1: You will be given a graph, table, chart, or diagram and will be asked to describe, summarize, or explain the material in your own words. You may be requested to describe and explain data, process phases, how something works, or an object or event.


Task 2 entails writing an essay in response to a point of view, argument, or problem. Responses to both assignments must be written in a formal manner.

Description This part of the test lasts about 30 minutes. Plus 10 minutes to tranfer your answers to the answer sheet. [In the computer version, you choose the answers while you are listening to the audio]         IMPORTANT: Any poor spelling or grammar mistake will be penalised. Then                                              your answer will not be marked. There are 40 questions   You listen to four recordings of native English speakers and then write down your answers to a series of questions. SPEAKING Module

It can be taken the same day or in a different date than the other parts. This part of the test is divided into 3 parts. In the Speaking Part 1: The examiner asks questyions about yourself. The questions may be about your life, studies or work, future plans, interests, or your family. This part is designed to test your skills to interact with the examiner and use general social language It lats between 4 and 5 minutes. In the Speaking Part 2: You are given a task card with prompts and are asked to talk on a particualr topic. You have 1 minute to prepare and you can make notes if you wish.
